MEET VICTOR WILLERT

Victor Willert has spent his whole life dedicated to education and community service. With over 33 years in education, he's moved from being a teacher to a School Administrator, always focused on providing quality education and encouraging the next generation to think critically and question the status quo.

Born and raised in New York City, Victor's parents came from the Philippines looking for a better life. They worked hard to give Victor and his older brother a good education. Both succeeded—his brother became a lawyer, and Victor became a teacher.

Teaching underprivileged students wasn't enough for Victor. He pushed for a well-rounded education that included sports, dances, and school trips. When that still wasn't enough, he applied for and got into a scholarship program for aspiring school administrators. Instead of waiting for his ideal job, he joined the Chancellor's District to help improve failing schools. He helped turn around a school in the South Bronx, which became one of the better schools by the time he retired.

Victor moved to Henderson, Nevada, with his wife of 20 years and started a new chapter. He now teaches First Aid, CPR, and AED skills to the Greater Las Vegas community for a major humanitarian organization.
